Being Updated
The new programs at James Marshall Elementary in Modesto, California, are making a difference! The school is part of Modesto City Schools' plan to make the future healthier and greener for students. This plan is in line with the district's 2025-2026 Sustainability Plan. This project shows that the school cares about the environment and the health of its students.
The school is also working to get the community involved. For example, the districtwide culture campaign "Be the Change" gives students the tools they need to create a welcoming and positive environment. The principal is dedicated to running the school and creating a supportive environment where students can do well.

Q3. What kind of culture does the school encourage?
Ans. The school promotes a culture of respect and welcome where all students feel supported and included. This good environment makes students feel good about themselves and encourages them to learn.
Q4. What programs help students get smarter and better?
Ans. The school has classes in the arts, technology, physical education, and group projects. Students learn how to be creative, think critically, and solve problems through these programs.
Q5. What does the school do to get families involved?
Ans. Families are welcome to come to cultural nights, workshops, volunteer events, and meetings with teachers and parents. These chances help make the link between school and home stronger.
