William Burnett Elementary is at 400 Fanyon Street in the southern Milpitas neighborhood. With a student-teacher ratio of 24:1, it serves 432 students in grades K–6. 59% of people are good at math, and 67% are good at reading. There are 51% male and 49% female students. The school has a lively and well-rounded academic environment for its students. Teachers give students practice sessions and strategies to make sure they are ready for their daily tasks. To make sure that everyone has a productive day, every part of the campus is taken care of. The environment is meant to be easy to get to and helpful for all students. Staff members put a lot of effort into making sure that all grade levels have a safe and welcoming environment. Prices for homes in the area range from $1,150,000 to $1,950,000. Parents say that the students are ready for school and that the support staff on campus are very helpful. Families often say how happy they are with the many resources available to their kids. This school is one of the best elementary schools in California.

The new "Burnett Bright Stars" incentive program at William Burnett Elementary School for the spring semester stresses how important it is for students to come to school every day. To give students more chances to be creative, the campus recently added new musical instruments to its performing arts program. The school administration is also looking for parents to help out at the Spring Carnival, which is the biggest event of the year for building community.
