Being Updated
The opening of Covillaud Elementary's new two-story classroom building, which replaced several older portable units on campus, was a historic moment for the school. This $14.7 million expansion project has added 16 modern classrooms that are meant to support 22nd-century teaching styles for the school's growing student body. The administration is also getting ready for the orientation events for the spring semester, which will welcome new families to the updated building.
Q1. What are the rules for birthday parties at Covillaud Elementary?
Ans. Parents need to talk to teachers ahead of time, and they are encouraged to bring things other than food to celebrate in the classroom.
Q2. Is there a school nurse at Covillaud Elementary?
Ans. A health professional is on duty every day to give students their medications and basic first aid for small injuries on the playground.
Q3. What do they do for emergency drills at Covillaud Elementary?
Ans. To make sure that all students and staff are ready for any emergencies, the school holds regular fire and safety drills.
Q4. Is there a transitional kindergarten class at Covillaud Elementary?
Ans. The campus has a special program for young students to help them learn the basic skills they need before they start regular kindergarten.
Q5. Does Covillaud Elementary have music programs?
Ans. To improve their artistic skills and love of the arts, students take vocal or instrumental music lessons once a week.
