Independence Continuation High School is still dedicated to its goal of providing students with a personalized and challenging 21st-century education through small group instruction. The school is part of the Golden Valley Unified School District. The school helps students do well by giving them credit recovery classes and a flexible schedule that lets them catch up on their work in a supportive, adult-centered setting. Recent efforts have been aimed at eliminating inequities in education and ensuring that all graduates are adequately prepared for college and employment.
Q1. Are there advanced classes available?
Ans. Yes, Honors and AP classes at Independence Continuation High push students to think critically and do their best work.
Q2. Do students get help with standardized tests?
Ans. Yes. Yes, of course! The school has resources to help students get ready for the SAT and ACT tests.
Q3. Are students able to look in to more than one career path?
Ans. Yes, Independence Continuation High has a lot of different programs that help students find out what they're good at and what they like.
Q4. Does Independence Continuation High support professional growth?
Ans. Yes, students learn how to communicate, work as a team, and solve problems, which are all important skills for any job.
Q5. What does Independence Continuation High do to help students get ready for life after graduation?
Ans. College planning, men to ring, and skill-building programs help students move on to higher education, vocational paths, or jobs.
