WISH Community is a public charter school in Los Angeles, California, which is a big city. There are about 838 students at the school, which goes from kindergarten to eighth grade. WISH Community has 43 full-time teachers and one full-time school counselor. This means that there is one teacher for every 19 students, which is the same as the district average. The school has a standards-based curriculum that includes project-based learning, using technology in the classroom, and programs that teach kids how to deal with their emotions. For a well-rounded educational environment, it's important for families and communities to be involved.Kids should be able to think critically, work together, and be creative through enrichment activities. The student body is made up of 55% men and 45% women. Around 17% of the students come from families with low incomes. USA News says that about 60% of students do well enough in math and 72% do well enough in reading. This means that they do better in school than most students in the state. WISH Community gets money from charter schools and the district, but they don't say how much they spend on each student.
