Open Charter Magnet School in Los Angeles, California, is getting a lot of attention because it promises to be a unique and welcoming place to learn. Open Charter Magnet is one of the first magnet schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Its goal is to promote integration and its long-standing commitment to academic excellence and ethnic diversity.
According to the Constructivist philosophy of education, people learn best by doing things and having experiences. This is what the school is doing now. Open Charter Magnet teaches kids to be kind to others and get involved in their communities. This helps them grow into strong, caring, and successful adults. The School care about doing a good job because they work hard to help students do well in school, make friends, and feel good about themselves.

Ans. Yes, students go to the library once a week to check out books and read them with help.

Ans. The school follows the district's safety rules and has regular emergency drills.

Ans. Yes, there are enrichment activities and options for extended learning if you meet the requirements.

Ans. Students have PE classes and recess outside at set times.

Ans. Yes, district nutrition services do offer hot lunches and options for people with special dietary needs.
