The Ninety-Ninth Street Elementary School in Los Angeles, California, is doing good things for the community! The principal and other dedicated staff have built strong relationships with the community and enjoy having parents involved. The school works hard to make sure that its students have a great place to learn. The school has recently seen improvements in student achievement. For example, 11% more students met or exceeded standards on the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) test in English Language Arts and 8% more students did the same in math. The school is dedicated to giving each student a unique experience and including blended learning activities in their daily lessons. The school is also holding a School Site Council (SSC) meeting and is encouraging parents to come and help make decisions about how the school is run.
