In Los Angeles, California, there is a public charter school called Goethe International Charter. It is in a big city and serves students from kindergarten through eighth grade. The school has about 440 students and a student-teacher ratio of 20:1, which is the same as the district average. The school has 22 teachers who work full-time.Goethe International Charter's German–English dual language immersion program is well-known. It teaches in two languages and meets California's academic standards. The main goal of this method is to help students develop strong basic skills in math, reading, writing, and language, as well as an understanding of the world around them. The student body is diverse, with an equal number of boys and girls (50% boys and 50% girls). Only 23% of students come from low-income families, which is lower than the average for many urban public schools. According to U.S. News, 63% of students are proficient in math and 70% are proficient in reading (ELA). This means that they do better in school than the average student in the district and the state. Because it is a charter school that gets money from the government, it spends the same amount on each student as a regular California public school. This school is the best school in Los Angeles.
