In Los Angeles, California, there is a public charter school called Goethe International Charter. It is in a big city and serves students from kindergarten through eighth grade. The school has about 440 students and a student-teacher ratio of 20:1, which is the same as the district average. The school has 22 teachers who work full-time.Goethe International Charter's German–English dual language immersion program is well-known. It teaches in two languages and meets California's academic standards.
