Marylin Avenue STEAM Academy has been named a California Green Ribbon School (Gold) for two years in a row for its work on environmental literacy and resource conservation through 2026. The campus recently got a $25 million makeover that included new STEAM labs, a research center, and better playgrounds. Principal Joe Meunier said he was proud of these changes because they have made students feel safer and more proud of their school.

Ans. While not a strict uniform, the school encourages students to follow the "Dress for Success" guidelines for a productive environment.
Q2. What kind of field trips do students at Marylin Avenue Elementary take?
Ans. Each grade level participates in educational trips to local museums, nature preserves, and historical sites throughout the academic year.
Q3. Does Marylin Avenue Elementary have a dedicated art teacher?
Ans. Art instruction is integrated into the curriculum, and students also work with visiting artists through the district's art outreach programs.
Q4. How is the playground supervised at Marylin Avenue Elementary?
Ans. Trained yard duty supervisors and staff members monitor all playground areas during morning recess and the daily lunch period.

Ans. Yes, parents are invited each September to meet teachers and learn about the curriculum and expectations for the school year.
