This spring, Joshua Elementary is stepping up its efforts to improve attendance and literacy. As part of ongoing district improvement plans, the school is focusing on early reading supports and getting families involved. At the same time, the school is still working on the academic problems that recent performance data show.
Q1. Does Joshua Elementary School have programs to help kids with reading and math?
Ans. Yes, the school does offer small-group instruction and academic help that is specific to each student.
Q2. Are there programs for people who are learning English?
Ans. Yes, students get help with language development when they need it.
Q3. Does the school offer counseling or services for social and emotional health?
Ans. Yes, there are counseling and behavioral support services for students.
Q4. Do students get meals?
Ans. Yes, all students who qualify can take part in breakfast and lunch programs.
Q5. How do parents find out what's going on at school?
Ans. Families get news through district communication tools, newsletters, and emails.
