La Madera Elementary School is located at 25350 Serrano Road in the Lake Forest area. This campus serves 532 students in grades K–6. The student–teacher ratio is 28:1. Math proficiency is 61% and reading proficiency is 66%. The gender mix is 49% male and 51% female. The campus is very welcoming and helpful to all students. The staff makes sure that every child feels seen and heard during the day. This school is still a big part of the community. The buildings are well-kept so that students can learn in a productive way. Teachers focus on teaching basic skills through daily structured lessons. There is plenty of room for kids to play and socialize on the school grounds. Every classroom is set up to keep students interested and limit distractions. On April 1, 2026, La Madera Elementary will host the PTA International Fair. The fair will celebrate the school's many different cultures. The campus is still doing well as a GATE Magnet School. Data-driven Professional Learning Communities help each student learn in their own way and come up with new ideas. Students of all ages also showed off their musical skills this spring during "Music Informance" sessions.
