The California Association for Bilingual Education recently gave Rorimer Elementary School the Seal of Excellence for its great dual-language programs. The school will get an official award this March at the Annual CABE 2026 Conference in San Francisco. Heidi West, the principal, praised the hard work of both students and staff that led to this state-level recognition for bilingual proficiency.

Ans. Rorimer Elementary is recognized for its high-quality Spanish dual-immersion program which aims for bilingualism from kindergarten through sixth grade.

Ans. Parents are elected to the council annually and participate in making decisions regarding school-wide academic and budgetary goals.
Q3. Does Rorimer Elementary offer any choir or vocal music clubs for students?
Ans. Students have the opportunity to join the campus choir which performs at various school functions and district-wide musical events.
Q4. What is the school’s policy on student use of tablets at Rorimer Elementary?
Ans. Each student is assigned a device for classroom use, though they must follow the district’s acceptable use policy daily.
