Northam Elementary recently showed how much it cares about STEM education by having science projects and interactive displays for every grade level. The school is now asking parents to sign up for the Rowland Unified Open Enrollment window for the 2026–2027 school year. The new "Future Ready" literacy framework for the district is what Karen Magana, the principal, is using to plan professional development for the staff.

Ans. Northam Elementary has a special preschool program that helps young children in the community with early intervention and development.
Q2. How do parents at Northam Elementary ask for a meeting with a teacher?
Ans. Parents can ask for meetings by emailing the teacher or calling the front office to set up a time.
Q3. Is there a special playground area at Northam Elementary just for Transitional Kindergarten students?
Ans. There is a separate, gated play area on campus for younger students to play safely and in a way that is appropriate for their age.
Q4. Does Northam Elementary have any after-school programs that focus on STEM subjects?
Ans. Northam Elementary works with the district to offer a variety of after-school enrichment activities, such as hands-on science and technology projects.
Q5: How does Northam Elementary School keep track of how well students are doing in school over the course of the year?
Ans. The school has regular "Student of the Month" assemblies to honor students who have made progress in school, been good citizens, and worked hard in class.
