The "Active Parenting" workshops at Don Julian Elementary School were meant to help families in the area get along better and feel more at ease at home. Emtek Products gave the school a lot of money this fall that helped students "Lion Lock In" for academic success by giving them important supplies. Principal James Arrellanes Jr. is in charge of a few days on campus this winter that are all about school spirit. Pajama Day and the yearly Ugly Sweater competition are two of these.
Q1. How do you sign up a new student at Don Julian Elementary for the spring semester?
Ans. Parents should fill out the online pre-enrollment form on the Bassett Unified portal and then go to the office with proof of residency.
Q2. Are there interscholastic sports at Don Julian Elementary for middle school students?
Ans. The school offers seasonal sports like volleyball and basketball for students in grades six through eight.
Q3. Does Don Julian Elementary have special art rooms where students can work on creative projects?
Ans. Students learn about the visual arts in dedicated spaces where they can try out different materials and improve their creative skills.
Q4. How does Don Julian Elementary let parents know about emergencies?
Ans. The administration uses an automated notification system to send urgent emails and texts to all registered primary contacts.
Q5. Can people rent the Don Julian Elementary campus for events on the weekends?
Ans. The Bassett Unified School District office lets community groups apply for permits to use the facilities on weekends.
