Families from Walnut Elementary School recently got together for the CBEDS Day community event to celebrate how many students were there. Recently, the school had a successful Back to School Night. Teachers talked about the new curriculum goals for this trimester. Parents are currently filling out the annual School Experience Survey, which will help make the campus better in the future.
Q1. What is the "CBEDS Day" event at Walnut Elementary?
Ans. This is a community event where the school honors high student attendance and strong family involvement.
Q2: Does Walnut Elementary School give students tools to learn at home?
Ans. During Back to School Night, teachers talk about the specific goals of the curriculum and give parents digital tools to help their kids.
Q3. How does Walnut Elementary School get feedback from the community?
Ans. The school uses the yearly School Experience Survey to find out what parents think about how safe the campus is and how hard the classes are.
Q4: What are the traditions of the spirit at Walnut Elementary?
Ans. Every Friday is spirit day, when students wear school shirts to show their pride in the school as a whole.
Q5. Does Walnut Elementary have a kindergarten program for kids who are just starting school?
Ans. The school has a TK program that helps kids get a head start on reading and writing as well as social skills.
