Macy Elementary is actively promoting the district's new "Show Up, Shine Bright" attendance campaign to help students get the most out of their learning time. A number of spring fundraisers are going on in the school community to help pay for field trips and classroom supplies. During the second trimester, parents should log in to the PowerSchool portal to see how their child is doing in school.
Q1. What is the "Show Up, Shine Bright" campaign at Macy Elementary School?
Ans. This program across the whole district is all about getting kids to come to school more often so they can learn as much as possible every day.
Q2. What can parents do to keep an eye on their child's academic progress at Macy Elementary?
Ans. Families use the PowerSchool portal to see grades, attendance records, and teacher feedback in real time throughout the trimester.
Q3. Is there a transitional kindergarten program at Macy Elementary?
Ans. The campus has a TK program for the youngest students that helps them grow socially and emotionally and learn to read and write.
Q4. What are the school colors and mascot for Macy Elementary?
Ans. The Knight is the school's mascot, and students wear blue and gold to show their pride at school assemblies.
Q5. Does Macy Elementary have a summer school?
Ans. The school has a summer bridge program that helps kids get ready for the next grade by working on their math and reading skills.
