El Portal Elementary is located at 200 North Lowell Avenue in La Habra. It serves 458 students in grades K-6 with a student–teacher ratio of 23:1. Math proficiency is 55% and reading proficiency is 58%. The student body has a gender mix of 50% male and 50% female students. The school is a friendly and helpful place for all of its students. Students spend their days in a place where they can focus and grow. The layout of the building makes it easy to move between different subject areas throughout the day. To set a good example for the kids, staff members work hard to keep a professional tone. Prices for homes in the area range from $720,000 to $980,000. Parents say that the school has a strong sense of community and that the parent-teacher association is very helpful. A lot of families like how the school handles social interactions between kids. This site is known as one of the best elementary schools in California.

El Portal Elementary will be moving to the Maybrook campus for the 2025–2026 school year. The school is promoting its PowerSource after-school program, which helps kids with their homework and other activities. The administration is inviting families to come to meetings in the near future to learn more about how to enroll their children for the next school year.
