Jackson Elementary School has been making a concerted effort for the past year to actively connect with and engage families at the school by providing them with weekly newsletters and other current updates through the school’s official communication platform - an example of these update types includes: a seasonal event notice, a school-related message regarding Spring Break, and information regarding new students being enrolled into Jackson Elementary School. These ongoing updates reinforce Jackson Elementary School’s commitment to establish and maintain consistent and open communication with all families enabling families to be involved and informed throughout the school year.
Q1. What is the time of the first bell at Jackson Elementary?
Ans. Students may arrive for the free breakfast at Jackson Elementary at 7:20 a.m., go to the playground at 7:35 a.m. and the daily bell will ring at 7:50 a.m.
Q2. Is there a breakfast program for the children before school?
Ans. Yes. Jackson Elementary provides breakfast for all students free of charge, beginning at 7:20 a.m. each school day.
Q3. Is there after-school care at Jackson Elementary?
Ans. Yes, Jackson offers an ELOP (Expanded Learning Opportunities Program) that is a safe, nurturing, education, and fun for children in Jackson. The program's site director is Claudia Beltrán.
Q4. How can parents find out how their child is doing academically?
Ans. Parents can log into the Aeries Parent Portal to view all the information about their child in school and the child's academic progress. The portal gives families the option to sign in with their current account or set up an account if needed.
Q5. Who do family members contact for general school issues or questions?
Ans. Families should call the main office of Jackson Elementary at (209) 257-5600 for any general questions or concerns.
