In December 2025, Marine View Middle School won its first CSBA Golden Bell Award for its Visual and Performing Arts program called Building Artists, Allies, and Aspirations through VAPA. The California School Boards Association gave the school a VAPA award as part of its statewide awards program. The award puts Marine View Middle in the same group as other schools that have been officially recognized for their program implementation and instructional design.
