The district no longer thinks that Hope View Elementary might close. Families in the area will still be able to use it until the 2026 school year. The school is getting ready for information nights for transitional kindergarten and kindergarten. These will be a chance for new families to meet each other. Teachers are working hard to keep the high energy and academic hope that were there at the start of the school year last August.
Q1. Is Hope View Elementary a part of the "Peace Builders" program for teaching good character?
Ans. The Peace Builders program helps students learn how to handle conflicts and encourages a positive, respectful campus culture.
Q2. What are the rules at Hope View Elementary School's playground about bringing your own sports gear?
Ans. Students are asked to use the equipment that the school provides instead of bringing things from home to keep them safe and avoid losing them.
Q3. What does Hope View Elementary do to help students who are learning English as a second language?
Ans. The school offers English Language Development (ELD) help through small group lessons that are tailored to each student's current level of proficiency.
Q4. Will Hope View Elementary students go on any field trips this year?
Ans. Every grade level usually goes on at least one educational field trip to a museum, a nature center, or a historical site in the area.
