Families of students at Cimarron Avenue Elementary are filling out the 2025–2026 School Experience Survey to let the school know what they think about their time there. Principal Rivers sent home notes for the week of February 16, 2026, and told the students they did a great job on their i-Ready tests. The school is also getting ready for a change in the main office because the office technician who has been there for a long time is moving to a new location.
Q1. Do students at Cimarron Avenue Elementary get special STEAM kits to use at home?
Ans. The school gives students a lot of different hands-on materials and digital tools to help them learn STEAM at home and in class.
Q2. What can families do to take part in the School Experience Survey at Cimarron Avenue Elementary?
Ans. Parents can use the LAUSD portal to fill out the yearly survey and give their thoughts on the school's current situation.
Q3. Are there any after-school clubs at Cimarron Avenue Elementary that are all about robotics?
Ans. The STEAM magnet curriculum at the school has a number of enrichment programs that let students learn more about robotics and engineering.
Q4. How do you let Cimarron Avenue Elementary know that a student is not there?
Ans. Within two days of their child being absent, parents must either call the attendance office or send a signed note to the teacher.
Q5. Does Cimarron Avenue Elementary hold workshops for parents to learn how to use the i-Ready assessment platform?
Ans. The school holds regular information sessions to help parents understand and support their child's progress and results in i-Ready.
