Grass Valley is a small, pretty city in Nevada County with about 14,000 people living there. There is a strong sense of community in Grass Valley, and it has a lot of history from the Gold Rush. The arts scene is also very active, and the mountains are beautiful. The Grass Valley School District is in charge of most elementary schools. It runs a number of public elementary schools, as well as a few private and charter schools. Schools help a lot of different kinds of students and focus on academics, STEM learning, the arts, and activities outside of school. The state has praised some schools for their academic success and involvement in the community.
