The California Department of Education recently named Verdugo Woodlands Elementary School in Glendale a 2025 California Distinguished School. This award honors schools that have strong academic performance and student programs. The campus has also kept promoting its Japanese Dual Language Immersion program and cultural events that give students a chance to learn two languages and do arts and crafts.
