Being Updated
Purche Avenue Elementary is putting a lot of focus on how important its Expanded Transitional Kindergarten (ETK) program is for kids right now. In February, the school took part in the district's "Sharing Brings Hope" campaign to help projects in the community. Staff and parents are working together on the School Site Council to decide what the budget priorities will be for the 2026–2027 school year.

Ans. The Expanded Transitional Kindergarten program gives kids who turn five later in the year a head start.
Q2. What did Purche Avenue Elementary do to help the "Sharing Brings Hope" campaign?
Ans. The school community raised money to help families in need in the Gardena area and support local projects.
Q3. Is there a school counselor at Purche Avenue Elementary?
Ans. Students can get help with their social and emotional growth and with problems with relationships with other students from a part-time counselor.
Q4. What is the "Purche Avenue Elementary" school mascot?
Ans. The Panther is the school's mascot, and students show their pride in the Panther at weekly spirit events and assemblies.
Q5. Does Purche Avenue Elementary have any events for parents that are focused on technology?
