Muir Elementary School announced a student support initiative in November 2025 providing winter donations to the entire student body. Approximately 500 students each received a new pair of shoes and a handmade blanket for winter break. The effort was funded through a $15,000 fundraiser led by SHINE 4 Education, CalViva Health, and local council members.
