Families in the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District recently went to Family Literacy Night at the Civic Center Library. There were fun activities that helped kids at local schools like Center Elementary learn the basics of reading.
Q1: Does Center Elementary have programs for kids to go to before or after school?
Ans. The school works with partners that the district has approved to offer optional supervision before and after school, but only if there is space and enough students.
Q2. Is there a way for parents to get involved at Center Elementary?
Ans. Yes, parents can get involved by joining school committees, volunteering in the classroom, going to family events, and meeting with teachers every now and then.
Q3. What kinds of help are there for students who need it?
Ans: Center Elementary offers academic intervention programs, counseling support, and access to specialized services that are tailored to each student's needs.
Q4. Does the school give students rides?
Ans: Depending on distance and district rules, eligible students may be able to ride the school bus.
Q5. What ways does Center Elementary talk to parents and families?
A. The school sends out regular newsletters, phone calls, emails, and parent portals to keep families up to date on school events and academics.
