Being Updated
Park Dale Lane Elementary has become the focus of planned safety improvements as city officials in Encinitas consider changes to the busy intersection at Park Dale Lane and Village Park Way. After feedback from parents and local leaders, the City Council directed staff to study options including additional crossing guards, traffic calming measures and possibly a signal to help students and families as enrollment grows. The discussion follows community concern about vehicle speeds and pedestrian safety near the campus, and staff will return with cost estimates and recommendations later this spring.
