Joseph Sims Elementary 2026-27 new student registration opens on January 20, 2026, for all local residents. Joseph Sims Elementary K-2 reading difficulty screenings are scheduled to begin on February 10, 2026, for on-track students. Joseph Sims Elementary families can take advantage of the 2026 RydeFreeRT program for free student transit throughout the winter term.
Q1. Does Joseph Sims Elementary have a special music and performing arts program for kids in first through third grade?
Ans. The school has a full program for the performing and visual arts. Every week, students learn about music, art, and drama.
Q2. If parents want to help out in the library at Joseph Sims Elementary School, what do they need to do?
Ans. Volunteers need to pass a background check and go through a short orientation before they can help with shelving books and taking students to the library.
Q3. Is there a special science room at Joseph Sims Elementary where kids can do lab work and work on harder research projects?
Ans. Every week, the students at the school do hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities in a special lab.

Ans. The school has an International Festival every year where families share their cultures through music, food, and traditional performances.
