El Monte, California, has elementary schools that are part of a public system that has been around for a long time and is always changing. It serves about 115,000 people in the San Gabriel Valley. There are 15 elementary and K–8 campuses that offer core academics, bilingual programs (like Spanish and Mandarin), music, and activities after school to help the students learn more. The district has been recognized for improving academics, with several campuses being named California Distinguished Schools and others being praised for helping Latino and low-income students do better in school. The city is a good place for elementary school because it has good educational resources and neighborhoods that are the best choice for families.
