Being Updated
Earlier this year, a fifth-grade teacher at Frederiksen Elementary, Jericho Griffin, was named Teacher of the Year for the 2025–2026 school year in the Dublin Unified School District. People at the school pointed to how he works with students day to day and the way his class stays engaged during lessons. At the same time, the school has been getting ready for the next academic year, with regular student activities and small campus events continuing through the spring months.
Q1. How do students usually interact with their teachers during class at Frederiksen Elementary?
Ans. In many classrooms, students do ask questions and join in when something is being explained. Some lessons are more discussion-based, so they’re not just sitting and listening the whole time.
Q2. Do students get chances to work with classmates during the school day?
Ans. Yes, that does happen during parts of the day. Sometimes it’s small group work, other times just a quick partner task, depending on the lesson.
Q3. How are daily routines explained to younger students?
Ans. Teachers usually go over routines more than once in the beginning. Younger students pick it up gradually as they follow the same schedule each day.
Q4. What kind of support is available for students who need extra help with lessons?
Ans. If a student is having difficulty, teachers may offer extra practice, small group instruction, or additional guidance during class time to help them keep up.
Q5. How do students keep track of their work during the week?
Ans. Most students rely on simple things like folders or reminders from the teacher. It’s a process, and they get better at it over time.
Note: Schedules may change during school holidays. Please contact School for exact Schedule.
