Rio Hondo Elementary has added STEAM-based learning to its core curriculum. This lets students learn about science and math by working on creative problem-solving projects. The school is still working with the TLC 5K Race to promote a healthy lifestyle. The race raises money for important family services in Downey. Rio Hondo is an Apple Distinguished School, which means it has a 1:1 tech environment that gets students ready for a digital future.

Ans. Students are issued iPads that are primarily used in the classroom to enhance their digital learning experience.
