Being Updated
Every Wednesday afternoon, teachers at Patwin Elementary get together to plan lessons that will help students grow. The school is helping its oldest students make the switch to Emerson Junior High by giving them information about course choices and extracurricular activities. Families are also getting ready for the spring conference week, when they will talk about their child's academic and social-emotional progress.
Q1. Does Patwin Elementary School have any special programs for students who are very smart?
Ans. Teachers give students who do well in school extra help in the general classroom to keep them interested and challenged.
Q2. What is the school's mascot and how do students show their school spirit at Patwin Elementary School?
Ans. The Hawk is the school's mascot, and every Friday students wear school colors to show that they are part of the community.
Q3. What does Patwin Elementary School do to deal with bad behavior and reward good behavior?
Ans. Staff members use a system of positive behavior to reward students for being safe, polite, and responsible members of the campus community.
Q4. Does Patwin Elementary School have any chances for students to perform music each year?
Ans. Students take part in seasonal concerts where they show off their singing skills and their first work with different instruments.
Q5. What does Patwin Elementary School do to keep students safe when it rains?
Ans. When the weather is bad, students are watched over in the multi-purpose room or classrooms while they eat lunch and play games inside.
