Being Updated
In the 2025–26 school year, Westlake Elementary will add more after-school enrichment programs. More parents will volunteer, and there will be new activities for students. The goal of the program is to get people more involved in their communities and give them more opportunities to learn outside of school.
Q1. Are there programs at Westlake Elementary for kids to do before and after school?
Ans. The school might work with groups in the area to offer programs before and after school that help kids with their homework, give them fun things to do, and keep an eye on them while their parents are at work. Availability may vary from year to year.
Q2. What kinds of help with language do students get?
Ans. Westlake Elementary helps kids who are learning English by giving them special lessons in language development and making sure their classrooms are set up in a way that follows district rules.
Q3. How can parents check on their child's schoolwork?
Ans. Parents can usually keep track of how their child is doing in school by looking at report cards, meeting with the teacher on a regular basis, and using online portals that show them how their child is doing with their homework and attendance.
Q4: Can families go to school events?
Ans. Families are often asked to help with events at school, raise money, and work on campus projects through parent committees.
Q5: What kinds of things can you do at school?
Ans. The campus usually has the same kinds of facilities as an elementary school, such as classrooms, a library or media center, playgrounds, and multipurpose rooms that can be used for activities and meetings.
