The Jefferson Elementary School District got a grant from the state to expand whole-child support programs. This will help George Washington Elementary. The money is meant to get students more involved and cut down on absences in all district schools.
Q1. Does George Washington Elementary have transitional kindergarten (TK)?
Ans. The Jefferson Elementary School District and the state of California have rules about who can go to Transitional Kindergarten based on their age.
Q2. What does the school do to help students who need extra help with learning?
Ans. The school offers special education services, individualized education plans (IEPs), and instructional accommodations in line with district rules.
Q3. Are there any activities outside of class that students can do?
Students can take part in enrichment programs, seasonal activities, and school-sponsored events that encourage creativity, teamwork, and personal growth.
Q4. What kinds of books and media are available?
Ans. Most of the time, the school has a library or media center on campus where students can check out books and work on their research and reading skills.
Q5. How does the school let families know about emergencies?
Ans. District communication systems, such as phone alerts, emails, and online platforms, usually let families know about updates in a timely manner.
