Recently, Badillo Elementary School hosted a number of community-oriented events aimed at improving family engagement and increasing student participation. One of the most recent successes for the school was Family Scholar Night, which took place on campus and provided opportunities for reading, playing games designed to promote learning, and bingo-style activities promoting literacy among families. The event was attended by many families and staff members and provided evidence of the school's current commitment to promoting collaborative learning activities outside of the traditional classroom environment. Badillo Elementary School also has scheduled ongoing leadership club meetings and student activities that foster engagement on campus throughout the course of the school year.
