Newport Elementary School is hosting campus tours this January to highlight its beachside learning environment for 2026-27 applicants. The school has integrated new social-emotional learning tools into its 2026 curriculum to support student wellness. Principal Christa Glembocki is leading new initiatives focused on coastal environmental science this semester.
Q1. Where should parents go to pick up their kids from Newport Elementary School in case of an emergency?
Ans. In case of an earthquake, the place to meet up is right in front of the main office of the school.
Q2: Can students at Newport Elementary use the parking lot in an emergency?
Ans. No parking is allowed in the lot during disasters so that emergency vehicles can get to the scene right away.
Q3. Do students who meet the requirements get bus rides to Newport Elementary?
Ans. Students who live more than three-quarters of a mile from the school can pay for bus service.
Q4. What are the rules for bringing things from home to Newport Elementary?
Ans. Students should put their names on all of their personal items and not bring expensive electronics to school.
Q5. Is there a "Shark Tank" technology program at Newport Elementary?
Ans. Upper-grade students use the Shark Tank program to make what they learn in class more real by using new technology and working together on projects.
