Peter Pendleton Elementary's campus improvement effort includes adding a new playground, along with recognition of academic success through the solar team's qualification for the KidWind Nationals competition, as well as participation in Coachella's local parade in late 2025.
Q1. Does Peter Pendleton Elementary have a GATE program?
Ans. Peter Pendleton Elementary does offer a Gifted and Talented Education program. If you feel your child may qualify, the best starting point is a conversation with their current classroom teacher. The referral process is run through Coachella Valley Unified School District, and the assessment window typically opens in the fall semester.
Q2. Do kids get a meal at Peter Pendleton Elementary?
Ans. Yes, through the district, Peter Pendleton participates in state-funded breakfast and lunch programs for qualifying students; as a result, students receive either a breakfast or a lunch (or both).
Q3. Are there any programs for your children before or after school?
Ans. Conditional upon the number of participants and enrollment, Peter Pendleton offers before and/or after-school programs.
Q4. How will I be notified about school events/updates?
Ans. Parents can receive notification by checking the school’s website, the district office, or contacting school personnel.
Q5. Are students eligible for transportation to and from school?
Ans. Generally, most eligible students living within a certain proximity to their school can receive transportation services from the district.
