Being Updated
Families in Claremont are beginning the early process of signing up younger students for the next school year at Mountain View Elementary. Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten registration has started, and the school office has been helping parents complete the required forms. Over the next few weeks, staff will continue guiding new families through enrollment as class planning for the upcoming academic year gradually takes shape.
Q1. What should students bring on their first day at Mountain View Elementary?
Ans. Most students bring basic school supplies, a backpack, and a lunch if they are not buying food at school. Teachers usually share a simple supply list before the school year begins.
Q2. Is there a playground at Mountain View Elementary?
Ans. Yes. The school has outdoor play areas where students spend time during recess and physical education activities.
Q3. Do students at Mountain View Elementary have recess?
Ans. Recess is a mandatory part of every elementary class’s daily routine, providing students with physical movement/play, outdoor activity, and/or a short break between lessons.
Q4. Are field trips organized for students?
Ans. Many of our classes participate in field trips at different times during the school year as well. Field trips may relate to what we have learned in class or provide our students with a learning opportunity in their community.
Q5. How do parents stay updated about school announcements?
Ans. Schools use newsletters, emails, and communication apps to keep parents informed about events that are occurring at the school. Parents can always check with the office if they have any questions about a specific event/information.
Note: Schedules may change during school holidays. Please contact School for exact Schedule.
