Being Updated
After the district's new strategic plan was approved, Skycrest Elementary put the health of its students first. The goal of the plan is to make it easier for all students to do well in school. Not too long ago, the school held "Coffee with the Principal" to talk about how to bring new ways of teaching and learning to the school in the 21st century. Families are also keeping an eye on the State Seal of Civic Engagement applications, which are still open until March 13, 2026.
Q1. Is there a "quiet zone" at Skycrest Elementary School during recess?
Ans. Students who like to read or draw in a quiet indoor setting can use the library.
Q2. What kinds of healthy snacks does Skycrest Elementary School suggest?
Ans. To help students stay healthy, the school encourages them to eat fresh fruits and vegetables during morning breaks.
Q3. What does Skycrest Elementary School do to help students who are learning English as a second language?
Ans. Dedicated teachers help students become fluent in their core subjects every day.
Q4. Are there any service projects at Skycrest Elementary School that students run?
Ans. To learn how important it is to be a good citizen, students take part in community cleanup days and food drives every year.
Q5. What can parents do to keep up with their child's grades at Skycrest Elementary School?
Ans.Families can use the digital gradebook portal to see real-time information about their child's homework, test scores, and attendance.
