The week of March 10–12, 2026, will be the spring parent-teacher conference week at Carriage Drive Elementary. At 11:05 AM, all grades will be let out early. The school has added new transitional kindergarten programs to keep up with the district's growth in early childhood education services. The city and the administration are also working on the "Safe Schools Corridor Plan" to find and fix traffic safety issues near the campus.
Q1. Is there a transitional kindergarten program for younger students at Carriage Drive Elementary School?
Ans. The school has a special TK classroom where young students can work on their basic social and academic skills.
Q2: What are the rules for using personal electronic devices at Carriage Drive Elementary School?
Ans. During the whole school day, students must keep their personal tablets and phones off and in their backpacks.
Q3. What does Carriage Drive Elementary School do to reward students for their good behavior and accomplishments?
Ans. Every month, the school holds assemblies where students get certificates for being responsible and nice to their classmates.
Q4. Are there certain rules about safety on the playground that Carriage Drive Elementary School follows during recess?
Ans. Under the watchful eye of yard staff, students must use equipment as it was meant to be used and follow the "hands-off" policy.
Q5. Does Carriage Drive Elementary School serve breakfast to students who get there early?
Ans. The cafeteria opens thirty minutes before the first bell so that all students can eat healthy breakfasts.
