Del Dayo Elementary is part of a San Juan Unified early literacy program that spent $100,000 on multilingual classroom books. This made reading materials better for young students all over the district this school year.
Q1. Is there a program at Del Dayo Elementary for gifted and talented students (GATE)?
Ans. The school helps advanced students by teaching them in different ways. It might also work with district GATE services to give students who qualify more chances to learn.
Q2. Are there music or art programs available to students?
Ans. Yes, students can take part in the school's music lessons, visual arts classes, and performances for their grade level.
Q3: What does the school do to help kids go from elementary to middle school?
Ans. Del Dayo Elementary usually helps sixth graders move on by giving them academic help, activities to get them used to the new school, and working with the middle schools that will be taking them.
Q4. What kinds of things happen on campus during the school year?
Ans: The school often has family nights, academic showcases, cultural events, and activities that bring the community together and get parents and students involved.
Q5. Is there a group of parents or a council at the school?
Ans. Yes, parents and staff can join a School Site Council or other advisory groups that help review school plans and support efforts to make things better.
