Being Updated
As spring tests get closer, Village Charter Academy is focusing on its Core Knowledge Sequence curriculum to make sure that all of its students meet the tough Common Core State Standards. The school's leaders are asking parents to help with projects to make the library on campus more organized and beautiful. Families who want to send their kids to school in 2026–2027 can now find new information on the school's digital portal.
Q1. What is the "Core Knowledge" sequence that Village Charter Academy uses?
Ans. This curriculum gives each student a clear plan for learning about history, geography, science, and the arts in each grade.
Q2. Do any of the programs at Village Charter Academy teach students how to be leaders or run the government?
Ans. The school's Student Council is very busy. Members of this group work to improve the campus and plan events that will make everyone feel good about their school.
Q3. What role do parents play in running Village Charter Academy?
Ans. Parents are on the Board of Directors and other committees to help decide things like school rules, budgets, and educational goals.
Q4. What kinds of trips do Village Charter Academy students usually take?
Ans. Classes go to museums, science centers, and historical sites in the area that are directly related to what they are learning in the Core Knowledge curriculum.
Q5. Is there a bus service for students at Village Charter Academy?
Ans. The school does not offer bus service, so parents work together to make sure all students get to school safely through a parent-led carpool network.
