Being Updated
In early 2026, the Multicultural Learning Center had a lot of community projects led by students to show how much they care about social justice and learning two languages at the same time. The school's unique K–8 program is very popular, so it is getting ready for its annual lottery for the next school year. Families and staff are also working together to make the last changes to the school's Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).
Q1. What is the main way that the Multicultural Learning Center teaches?
Ans. The school uses a 50/50 dual language immersion model in Spanish and English to help students become bilingual and learn about other cultures around the world.
Q2. Does the Multicultural Learning Center have classes for middle school students?
Ans. Yes, the center offers a continuous educational journey for students from Transitional Kindergarten to the eighth grade.
Q3. How does the Multicultural Learning Center's curriculum include "Social Justice"?
Ans. Students learn by doing projects that look at problems in their communities, how to be empathetic, and how to speak up for social change in their own neighborhoods.
Q4. How does the Multicultural Learning Center choose new students?
Ans. The school is very popular, so every spring, a public random drawing is held to choose new students for open spots.
Q5. Does the Multicultural Learning Center have any chances to do performing arts?
Ans. Students take part in music and dance programs that showcase different cultures. At the end of the school year, they perform in front of the whole community.
