Being Updated
La Mariposa is asking parents to fill out the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) survey to help them plan future student services. By the end of the day on Friday, February 27, 2026, each family must fill out this individual experience survey for each child. Additionally, the school continues to celebrate its recent recognition as a 2025 California Distinguished School.
Q1. Does La Mariposa have a dress code or a school uniform that everyone must follow?
Ans. Students don't have to wear uniforms, but they do have to follow the Pleasant Valley School District's dress code.
Q2. What time does La Mariposa's after-school care open and close?
Ans. The district's qualified childcare staff is on campus from the time school ends until 6:00 PM to care for kids after school.
Q3. How do I become a parent volunteer at La Mariposa?
Ans. Volunteers need to read the handbook, fill out a registration form, and show a valid ID and TB test results.
Q4. Does La Mariposa have music or arts classes?
Ans. The school includes the arts in its lessons and gives students many chances to perform at school assemblies and community events.
Q5. Do students who live in Mission Oaks have access to La Mariposa's bus service?
Ans. Most students are expected to use their own cars because buses are usually only for required student services.
