Mains Elementary recently held meetings for the community to talk about the budget and plans for the 25-26 school year that will help students do well. The school is focusing on a "Kindness First" program as part of the district's recent Inclusive Schools Week celebrations. Also, staff and students are using new online registration tools to make it easier for everyone to sign up for the next school year.
Q1. Does Mains Elementary have a "Back to School" night?
Ans. During this yearly event in early September, families can meet teachers and find out what is expected of them in the classroom.
Q2. What are the rules about cell phones at Mains Elementary?
Ans. To make sure that students can focus and learn without distractions every day, their devices must stay off and in their backpacks.
Q3. Is there a parent-teacher association at Mains Elementary?
Ans. There is an active parent group at the school that meets once a month to plan fundraisers and help with other activities that help students learn and grow.
Q4. Does Mains Elementary have any specialists in physical education?
Ans. Certified teachers teach classes once a week to help students learn how to work together, improve their coordination, and enjoy being healthy and fit.
Q5. Does Mains Elementary give out a yearbook to students every year?
Ans. A committee made up of students helps design a yearbook that includes pictures and memories from events that happened during the current school year.
