Kennedy Gardens Elementary is helping to set the educational goals for the next school year by taking part in the district's LCAP Community Forums. The school still gives all of its students free meals every day so they can stay healthy and do well in school. Also, the campus is getting ready to welcome possible new families at the upcoming Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten registration orientation.
Q1. Does Kennedy Gardens Elementary School have any classes on how to code computers?
Ans. To get students ready for the modern job market, the school teaches them basic coding and digital citizenship as part of the technology curriculum.
Q2. What is the policy for lost and found items at Kennedy Gardens Elementary?
Ans. Parents can pick up unclaimed jackets and lunchboxes from a central bin before they are donated each semester.
Q3. Does Kennedy Gardens Elementary have a separate STEM lab?
Ans. Students can learn about science, technology, engineering, and math in depth in a specialized lab that has modern tools.
Q4. How does Kennedy Gardens Elementary find out when students are not there?
Ans. To excuse a child's absence, parents must either call the attendance line or send a signed note to the office.
Q5. Does Kennedy Gardens Elementary give out a list of books to read over the summer?
Ans. To help students keep up their reading skills over the break, the school recommends certain books for each grade level.
