Being Updated
The new school year at Cesar Chavez Elementary began with a "Welcome Back" safety campaign to make sure that all families have a safe and happy place to learn. At a recent winter showcase for the community, the school's "Eagle Choir" sang a beautiful version of "Sky Full of Stars." The campus is also getting parents involved in upcoming LCAP forums to talk about how to make the facilities better and help students do well in the future.
Q1. What clubs outside of school are currently going on at Cesar Chavez Elementary?
Ans. The school has a number of enrichment clubs, such as robotics and art, to help students find things they like to do outside of school.
Q2. Does Cesar Chavez Elementary School offer childcare after school?
Ans. There is a supervised after-school program that helps working families by giving students help with their homework and fun things to do.
Q3. What are some ways that parents can help out at the Cesar Chavez Elementary library?
Ans. Parents are asked to sign up at the office to help with organizing books and other literacy-related events on campus.
Q4. Is there a school counselor at Cesar Chavez Elementary?
Ans. A professional counselor is on site all week to help students with their social and emotional needs and give them lessons.
Q5. What are the rules for celebrating birthdays at Cesar Chavez Elementary?
Ans. Parents need to work with teachers and are encouraged to bring things other than food to celebrate while keeping the environment healthy.
