Holder Elementary is a public school for grades K–6 in Buena Park with about 453 students. The school has classrooms that are average size and support structured instruction with a student-teacher ratio of about 21:1. According to academic performance data, about half of students meet or exceed proficiency standards in math, and about 51% do the same in English Language Arts. Holder Elementary focuses on teaching the basics of reading, writing, and math, as well as standards-based learning that is supported by intervention and enrichment programs. The campus has a wide range of students, just like the rest of the Buena Park community. The amount of money spent on each student is usually in line with what is normal for California public schools, which pay for instructional programs and student support services. The school is in a well-established suburban area of Orange County, which makes it a good place to live. Holder Elementary shows balanced academic results and has ways to make sure that all subjects are taught in the same way. This school is working hard to be one of the best elementary schools in California.
