Families are getting involved in the district's "School of Choice" program at Washington Elementary. This program stopped accepting priority applications on February 17, 2026. The BUSD 2025–2026 Student Calendar says that the campus is getting ready for a shorter day on February 27 to mark the end of the second trimester.
