The "End of 2nd Trimester" at De Anza Elementary was a big deal this school year. It happened on February 20, 2026. The School Site Council (SSC) will meet on January 14, 2026, to get parents involved in making plans for safety and education on campus. Recently, students took part in college awareness events like "Kite Day with Families," where they talked about their goals for higher education and represented different colleges.
Q1. Does De Anza Elementary School have events each year that families can attend?
Ans. Every year, the school has a "Kite Day" where families fly kites to show their college and career goals.
Q2. What are the school colors and mascot for De Anza Elementary?
Ans. The Dolphin is the school mascot, and students wear blue and white to show their school pride at assemblies.
Q3. Does De Anza Elementary have a program for young children?
Ans. The campus has a special Transitional Kindergarten program to help younger kids learn the basic skills they need to be successful in the future.
Q4. How does De Anza Elementary help students become leaders?
Ans. Students in higher grades can help plan school events and speak for their classmates on the Student Council.
Q5. Is there a recycling program at De Anza Elementary for the whole school?
Ans. To encourage environmental responsibility on the whole campus, student leaders run a green team that oversees recycling in the classroom.
